Our Massage Therapy program, 720 hours (36 semester units), is designed to provide you with the tools necessary to successfully enter the massage industry. As a graduate of this massage training program, you'll be prepared to begin your career at a spa, therapy clinic, chiropractic or doctor's office, health club, resort, or cruise ship. Working massage professionals teach the basics of Swedish massage, sports massage, anatomy and physiology, sound business practices related to the practice of massage, and an overview/exposure to reflexology, Shiatsu, polarity, and other non-traditional modalities. Theory is combined with hands-on instruction in a specially constructed massage setting. Attending LA College for four hours a day, Monday-Friday, this program takes about nine months to complete.

Learn about and practice Swedish massage; joint mobilization, testing, and range of motion; nursing, prenatal and infant massage; lymphatic massage; deep tissue massage; and trigger point and neuromuscular therapy.
